This privacy statement explains how MicroMetrix handles personal data collected through the website micrometrix.nl. We respect your privacy and process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / AVG).
1. Who is responsible
MicroMetrix, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) based in Enschede, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KVK number 42123147, is the controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at contact@micrometrix.nl.
2. What data we collect and why
- Project enquiries. When you submit the "Discuss a project" form, we process your first name, surname, email address, phone number, company or organisation, the optional area you select, and the description you provide. We use this only to assess your request and to contact you about it. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible agreement, and your consent (Art. 6(1)(b) and (a) GDPR).
- Direct contact. If you email or call us, we process the details you share so we can respond.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider automatically processes limited technical data (such as your IP address and browser information) to deliver and secure the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Cookies. This website does not use tracking or analytics cookies.
3. Sharing with others
We only share personal data with service providers that help us operate the website and respond to you, and only as far as needed:
- Hosting. The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States), which processes website and form data in transit. Where personal data is processed outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards apply (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
- Email. Your enquiry reaches us by email; where an email delivery service is used, it processes your message solely to deliver it to us.
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.
4. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry data only for as long as necessary to handle your request and any engagement that follows, and no longer than required by law, after which we delete it.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to restrict or object to its processing, or ask for data portability. Email contact@micrometrix.nl and we will respond within the statutory period. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
7. Changes to this statement
We may update this privacy statement from time to time. The version that applies is the one published here, with the date shown above.
